Michelle Gordon

Biography

Michelle Gordon practices civil litigation with a focus on family law.
Her legal background spans both appellate and trial experience. Michelle interned under the mentorship of Associate Chief Justice John Pearce of the Utah Supreme Court, gaining valuable insight into judicial decision-making and the role of clear, persuasive advocacy in shaping outcomes. She worked alongside criminal prosecutors at the Utah County Attorney’s Office, where she gained exposure to courtroom practice and litigation strategy, and later built a strong foundation in family law through her work with Quackenbush Legal, PLLC. Michelle’s commitment to child-centered advocacy was further strengthened by her time with Kids’ Court School in Las Vegas, where she prepared children from courtroom testimony and helped child victims better understand the legal system. Michelle was born in Japan and later moved with her family to Houston, Texas at a young age. Her international upbringing and exposure to diverse cultures cultivated an early interest in human behavior and communication, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development from Brigham Young University. Motivated to apply her understanding of human behavior in a practical way, she chose to pursue a career in law with the goal of helping individuals and families through periods of transition. Michelle’s legal studies include a year and a half at the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she expanded her experience within Utah’s legal community before earning her Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She draws upon her psychology background to make informed, empathetic decisions in her family law practice when navigating the complex emotional and behavioral dynamics that often arise in domestic cases. Dedicated to helping families regain a sense of clarity and confidence, Michelle approaches each case with care and perspective. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, staying active, and exploring new foods.
